The Welcome to Vilnius monthly workshops cover a range of topics, from important legal issues to smooth integration into the local community. 

Experts from Go Vilnius will guide you through the basics, from everyday life in Vilnius to more complex issues.  

The Q&A session will also give you the opportunity to ask questions on any topic.

18:00-18:20 – First steps in Lithuania

Hit the ground running in Vilnius by ticking a few important boxes that will help you get settled. Learn all about residence permits and how to apply for them, and other essentials like opening a bank account and making use of Lithuania’s extensive social security system, which includes maternity leave, child benefits and even transferring your pension from abroad. You’ll also get an A to Z overview of the healthcare system and info about driving, licenses and owning a car in Lithuania. 

18:20-18:40 – Living in Vilnius 

If you’re going to call Vilnius home, you’ll need a place to live. This session covers all things related to housing in Vilnius, as well as the kindergarten and school systems. You’ll also learn how to make the most of how compact Vilnius is, with info on the city’s public transport system, car-sharing options, bike paths and more.
