Thomas de Graaf initially moved to Vilnius from the Netherlands for love. “My girlfriend is Lithuanian and we had to decide whether to live in the Netherlands or Lithuania. I decided to move to Lithuania, and I haven’t regretted it for a single moment. I love the people, nature and everything that Vilnius has to offer. There's never a dull moment here,” says Thomas, who is counting his fourth year here in the beautiful city of Vilnius.
Thomas describes Vilnius as a relatively big city that somehow feels small and very comfortable. “You don't have to travel far to find something to do. There are so many nice parks where you can take a walk, pubs if you want to go for a drink with your friends, and beautiful architecture – especially in the Old Town,” he says.
Thomas discovered International House Vilnius in a rather unconventional way – he stumbled upon a post on the Mayor of Vilnius’ Facebook page. Not too long after that, Thomas came to use the services of the Tax inspectorate (VMI) and Migration Department.
“I was very satisfied! The services they provide cover all aspects, the process is very smooth and all my questions were answered on the spot. I would recommend it to anyone who is new in town and relocating to Vilnius!”, Thomas says of his experience with IH Vilnius.
